Aden's 9 months!

Happy B-day Kyrstina!
Aden is crawling and standing up against things and walking holding on to them. He is officically in the crash and burn stage and daily finds new things to discover and how the world can hurt when you don't understand between safe and unsafe. Hopefully him and I will all survive this adventure :-)

Shake it like there's no tomorrow!

This is Aden 8 1/2 months, my brother Hyrum, and Eric on the drum. Funny stuff huh?

Sorry it keeps loading sideways and it takes a long time to load.....maybe tomorrow I'll fix it. Just tilt your head:)

Our New Living Room and dining room

I made the Giraffe pillow cases and the flower arrangements. Notice in the top corner. It is a crane wind chime made from bamboo and a coconut shell.
We got all of these items for a great price, either clearance or second hand. Notice the cool mask on the wall and the drum on the armoire and the beautiful water feature.

This is a real banana tree plant. Did you know they only produce one bunch of banana's and then die for a new one to come and take their place? The picture is pieced together from leaves. It was hand made and sold on the streets in Africa.

Designed by Heidi and assembled by Eric :)

2 days left at Everett Place.....we are happy and sad to go.

Aden is such a doll isn't he? He has been enjoying all the changes around our house and loves playing with anything he can get his hands on. Today he learned how to go from his stomach to crawling position to sitting up by himself! Yeah Aden! He has been doing the crawling rock back and forth and then he has taught himself how to crawl backwards. :) He is still working on the forward thing. He finds it's much easier to just roll over so that is usually how he gets around.

I am pretty much finished with designing and redecorating our living room. We have had a lot of fun looking for unique decorations and furniture to fit an African setting. It has been fun to get mail all the time too. Our African drum should be arriving tomorrow. Here is a sneak peak of two of our decorations. This art work is made of African leaves. It is a picture of cheetas in their natural habbitat. It was made by and African and brought up here with 14 others and sold in a craft store. I made the frame out of bamboo shoots.
We have a giraffe rug and pillows to match. I am going to make little stands and put this on our new exotic retreat armoire. In the background is our new leather couch. It is so fun, but if you sit on it with bare skin you have to peal your skin off and it can really hurt.

Eric's internship is taking us to Boise soon. We are planning that trip and are suppose to be staying there for about two weeks. It is still tentative. He should have an opportunity to work under a landscape designer in the offices and possibly work in the nursery also.

We went down to Freeman Park the other day while we were in I.F. We played a little frisbee golf and I chased my frisbee down streem for 10 minuets until finally some stranger jumped in in his pants and fished it out for me. :) I have thrown it in the water before wearing white pants and slipped in the mud attempting to catch it, so I was trying not to relive that moment. :)
This is me spinning Aden around in circles. He loves it! He also loves being tossed up in the air and tickled.

We took a fun day trip a week or so ago to Cave falls. We counted 19 trees laying in the road from a wind storm. One of them we had to stop for 5 mins. while these men took a chain saw and rolled it off the road. Gratefully they were there or we would have had to turn around and go home. We are hoping to go back next month and camp. Aden did so well on our day trip we are hoping over night will go well to :)
Aren't they so good lookin'?

We have had tonz of fun with my little bro Nathan coming over for dinner and a sleep over this last week while my parents were vacationing in Hawaii. One night we built a fan fort and played games in it while we kept cool. It was way fun.

Aden turned 8 Months!

Well things have been crazy around our house so I haven't had time to blog. Here is Aden's 8 month picture. He turned 8 months on May 23rd. He is getting his two top front teeth in and they were painful. He has been teething for a few months and have recently come out. He is so cute and fun and is sleeping a lot better at night. Occasionally he will take a good nap too.

We have sold our apartment contract and will be moving to Peterson Pointe June 11th. We are way excited and will be saving anywhere from $120-$200 a month. I am redecorating our living room and it is looking great. The theme is Africa and it has been so fun to find cool decorations. I have found some great sales and I am very familiar with bulletin board and craigslist. :)

That's all for now :)
